Anyone Working on Electroporator Machine Backend?

Hi all, we just received a 96-well electroporator and i’m planning to add a new backend for this new machine type and for this device. It might be a simple one since the one that we have does not have motorized lid system. But just asking on what else could be the shared core functions in the frontend if anyone else is building on this.

Thanks.

I don’t think they were using PLR but I remember a presentation at SF LRIG last year where someone from CNSI at UCLA automated BTX electroporator

thank you for your interest in contributing this!

Harley is right, this would be the first electroporator in PLR

typically with a first backend you can make a good guess, but we almost always refine this with more implementations.

for arms, we are adding the kx2 and pf400 around the same time so I can design this more correctly from the start.

also re front end design, definitely check out this thread: Updating PLR API for machine interfaces discussion. it might make sense to design it like that from the start
